Attractions

There is so much to do in Cleethorpes and nearby. In fact, there really is something for everyone. What do you like to do?

If you like to be let loose in a theme park then you will love Pleasure Island which has enough rides and shows to keep all the family busy all day. Perhaps you like to go out to sea without getting on a boat? Then the Pier is the place for you. At high tide you can catch the sea breezes and see the water swirling beneath your feet without getting seasick!

Beaches? Oh yes, Cleethorpes has huge beaches, enough space to build Buckingham Palace out of sand, to mark out a full size football pitch, to run, to stroll or simply to collapse in a heap away from the rigours of everyday life.

Whether you want to experience the serenity of Cleethorpes' award-winning gardens, try your hand at crazy golf, bag a  bargain in the markets or pocket-friendly retail stores or step back in time to experience the life and times of the fishing industry, you will not be disappointed.

There is always something going on at the Discovery Centre, the Parkway Cinema and theatre or indeed after dark in the resort's dynamic night life.

You might like to get close to monkeys and talking parrots, row or peddle a boat or take a ride on a small steam railway. You can do it in Cleethorpes. Fancy going to the top of a Windmill? No problem.

There are just so many attractions in and near the resort that rather than just visit for a day or even a weekend.or, come to that, just come for a well-earned holiday, you might as well come and live here. Now there's a thought.........

The Jungle Zoo

Welcome to the No.1 animal attraction in North East Lincolnshire. Home to many species of exotic birds, reptiles and mammals.

THE JUNGLE ZOO  originally opened as a butterfly house and was re-opened in 1998 exhibiting a wide variety of birds, reptiles and mammals.

Jungle ZooThe zoo centres around a Tropical House in a spectacular jungle-like setting which includes a large water feature containing Red Eared and other Terrapins from North America and goldfish. Take a walk around the water feature and see Caiman alligators, large lizards, marmosets, parrots and toucans amongst others. The Reptile House is home to snakes and spiders including yellow anaconda, boa constrictor and the gigantic Burmese pythons.

The outside exhibits include capuchin monkeys, meerkats, ring tailed lemur and for the children African pygmy goats, chipmunks, chickens and guinea pigs. There are also a number of bird exhibits housing species such as cockatoo, lorikeets and parakeets.

We are pleased to be involved with education programmes with  local schools and colleges who visit us frequently.

THE JUNGLE ZOO  is too small to operate a breeding programme for large animals. However we are proud and pleased to be regular financial contributors to preservation projects that are taking place around the world.
